The gain control adjusts the amount of overdrive or distortion that Channel 1 or Channel 2will deliver. As the Gain control is increased clockwise (CW) the sound will become more overdriven moving through crunch tones until at its maximum position, a full distorted crunch tone is arrived at.The Level control sets the overall level or volume from Channel 1 or Channel 2 of the pedal. It should be used in conjunction with the Gain 1 control to achieve the exact type of drive you require. Generally speaking at lower Gain settings the Volume will be increased and at higher Gain settings the Volume should be decreased.The ISF control works in conjunction with the Tone control. It allows you to choose the exact tone signature you prefer. Fully CCW is a more American characteristic with a tight bottom end and more aggressive middle, and fully CW is a British characteristic which is more ‘woody’ and less aggressive.

BASS CONTROL

The bass control adjusts the amount of cut or boost that will be applied to the bass frequencies of your tone. In the ‘12 o’clock position’ the amount of bass is neither cut nor boosted. Turn the control left to cut the amount of bass, or right to increase the amount of bass.

TREBLE CONTROL

Similarly, the treble control adjusts the amount of cut or boost that will be applied to the treble frequencies of your tone. In the ‘12 o’clock position’ the amount of treble is neither cut nor boosted. Turn the control left to cut the amount of treble, or right to increase the amount of treble.

The HT-5R takes the tone and features of the HT-5C and adds the same stereo reverb as used in the acclaimed HT Venue Series. The HT-5R guitar amp features dedicated tone control on the clean channel, a custom designed 12" speaker and stereo reverb, making it the perfect guitar amp for the studio or home use.

Two Footwwitchable Channels

The guitar amplifier has two channels available for selection, a Clean channel and an Overdrive channel. Using the Volume control while on the Clean channel you are able to deliver everything from a clean sound through to a crunch tone. Alternatively you can select the Overdrive channel and again using the Gain control, change from a clean sound on the edge of breakup right through to a distorted lead tone.

Digital Reverb

The reverb control sets the overall level of the reverb effect. With the control fully counter clockwise there will be no reverb. Turning the control clockwise will increase the amount of reverb.

Speaker Emulated Output

The Blackstar emulated output design is a new benchmark for pro direct recording. This no-compromise design makes it easy to get your tone to disk and tape. You can also use it to run a line out to a PA.

Designed For Tone

The housing on the Fly 3 is sealed and tuned to ensure optimum tonal response and the material used has been mathematically modeled to have the Young modulus of wood. This retains the bass response usually associated with a wooden cabinet. The use of a full range driver has the benefit of removing the requirement for a crossover and the negative sonic impact that crossover can have on guitar tones. PC monitors usually have a sub-woofer which can muddle up the guitar tone, while near-field monitor have a crossover in the 2 3kHz region which is where the key part of a guitar's overdrive tone occurs. The use of a full range driver eliminates the need of a sub woofer. This has the benefit of removing the requirement for a crossover and the negative sonic impact that can have. The key part of a guitar's tone occurs in the frequencies that are normally affected by a crossover and for music playback the performance is similar to nearfield monitors.
